English Captain: Edward Barrett
Edward Barrett served in the Commonwealth navy. From 1651 to 1652, he commanded the 6th Rate Lily (10 guns). In 1652, he may have commanded the Hunter (10 guns), a French prize used as a fireship. In 1653, he commanded the Great Gift (34 guns). In December 1653, he was on the voyage to Gotenborg, under the command of Christopher Myngs.
