Some information from 1638 or so
Dr. M.G. De Boer's book Het Proefjaar van Maarten Harpertsz. Tromp 1637-1639 (1946) has some pieces of information that might be useful. For example, the ship Zeekalf, Breda, Gideon, the jacht Bommel, and the Engel Gabriël were deemed to be not very useful, and they needed to be replaced. From another book, that by Dr. F.
