Dutch Captain: Cornelis van Hogenhoeck
Cornelis van Hogenhoeck (the spelling may vary) served the Admiralty of Amsterdam. He fought in the Battle of Lowestoft in the Vereenigde Provinciƫn (48 guns). He also took part in operations in August. He commanded the Zuiderhuis (50 guns) in 1666. He fought in the Four Days' Battle in June and the St. James's Day Battle (July 25th 1666, old style). The Vereenigde Provinciƫn was an old ship, having been built in 1643. Her dimensions were 128ft x 31.5ft x 12ft. The Zuiderhuis was built in 1653, as part of the First Anglo-Dutch War building program. Her dimensions were 130ft x 32ft x 13.5ft. Sources:
