Nathaniel Cobham served in the Commonwealth navy. In 1652, he commanded the 6th Rate
Sun. From 1653 to 1655, he commanded the 4th Rate
Newcastle. On 31 March 1655, Nathaniel Cobham lead the attack on the Turks in Tunisia at Porto Farina. It was a route, as the Turkish crews abandoned their ships, when the attack occurred. Sources:
