Michael Nutton served both the Commonwealth and Restoration navies. From 1653 to 1655, he commanded the
Satisfaction (32 guns), a Dutch prize. He seems to have fought in the Battle of Scheveningen. From 1656 until 1660, he commanded the 5th Rate
Norwich. He was a captain in the Restoration navy in 1660, and died sometime before 1689. I have not been able to find any details of his service after 1660, however.
